Sky High and the Color of Money

Sky High and the Color of Money by Sally Lawton

A concoction of nationalism and festivity at protests and parades provides a potion of sluggishness. This induced speed makes clear the swiftness at which moving becomes movements. The fault of speed rests ultimately in the observer, too easily able to point at difference without initially seeing the similarities in oneself and the observed.

Winner: Media City Film Festival Regional Award for Best Film (2018)
